HLS Granules Out of Date

by matthew_cox_omnia » Thu Mar 14, 2024 9:28 am America/New_York

I've noticed that the HLS granules have usually been made available 2-3 days after the data was captured. However, it appears that the most recent captured granules available as of this posting were captured on 2024-03-04: https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search/granules?p=C2021957657-LPCLOUD&pg[0][v]=f&pg[0][gsk]=-start_date&tl=1710422347!3!! . Is this expected behavior at this time or is there an underlying issue that is being addressed?

Hello,
Sorry for the delay. We believe this is primarily due to the switch from MODIS Surface Reflectance to VIIRS. that is going on this week. We expect it to kick back up soon.
Thanks,
Brett

Thanks for looking into this and informing me of a potential root cause - looks like granules were just updated this afternoon!
