Help plotting future PACE orbits

Hello,

I was wondering earlier whether there was a resource online that enables people to view PACE orbits several days in advance. This can help with things like field campaign planning. KMZs would be great, or functionality in WorldView to get the orbits a day or two in advance, or even just a website with an image that people could use just to visualize tracks more generally. Looks like this resource is not yet available.

There is an overflight prediction tool that can provide the times PACE instruments will view a location on the Earth, but we do not have the reverse (showing where PACE will view the Earth in the future). I will inquire with the Worldview team about adding the ability to plot the PACE orbits into the future, and we will look into the possibility of augmenting the overflight prediction tool to provide canned KMZ files for the sensors...can't promise anything though (I'm just a manager )

That's great, thank you so much! We could use the information for both research and PACE validation in a current aircraft campaign that goes until end of August, but I am sure others could use the info too over time.

Hi Lauren,

We have a new tool that creates KMZ/KML files with a predicted orbit. Of course, these are more accurate closer to the current date.
