MODIS MCD18A2 3-hourly PAR product

by supernitt » Thu Jun 18, 2020 11:48 am America/New_York

Hi,

I have questions on MODIS MCD18A2 3-hourly total PAR product.

1. According to 3-hourly, what does it mean?
Does the product measure the total PAR of 3-hour in a row or measure a single PAR value every three hour?

2. If I would like to use 1-hourly PAR, could you please suggest where or how can I obtain this product?

Many thanks in advance
Nitt

Hi Nitt,
It is a single PAR value over that 3 hour period. Most areas of the globe have multiple MODIS acquisitions, but they are averaged to represent a single value.
Sorry, but we are not aware of hourly PAR data.
Thanks,

Brett
