HDFEOS and SDP Toolkit now behind account wall...and missing?

All,
First, I have sent in a ticket (#141027) but once I did, the reply reminded me of the forum, so I thought I'd ask here.
To wit, I maintain a set of libraries and one of the things I do in that is use curl to grab HDF-EOS2, HDF-EOS5, and SDP Toolkit, untar, and build. I used URLs from:
https://wiki.earthdata.nasa.gov/display/DAS/Toolkit+Downloads
and curl was happy to download.
But in the last week or so, the tarfiles now seem to require authentication to get. When I click on one of the links (say for hdf-eos5-2.0-src.tar.gz (https://git.earthdata.nasa.gov/projects/DAS/repos/hdfeos5/raw/hdf-eos5-2.0-src.tar.gz?at=refs%2Fheads%2FHDFEOS5_2.0), if I'm not logged into EarthData, it asks me to. If I am logged in, I instead see:
SSO Error
You do not have permissions to access this Earthdata system. If you believe this is in error, please contact Earthdata Support.
So I guess my question is many-fold:
1. Is authentication now required to download the toolkits?
2. Have the toolkits moved?
Thanks for any help,
Matt
