where do I find MCDLCHKM.A2001001.h17v02.051.2014287175237.hdf and similar?
This is the landcover (i think) data used in MOD17A3HGF.

Hi Jonas,
I don't believe that this product has ever been archived and distributed, it is used only as an upstream product used to produce other MODIS products. You may want to check with MODAPS to confirm this as they are the data providers: https://modaps.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/services/user/
