Problems accessing gsfc websites

by eilidhmacleod » Wed Oct 09, 2024 3:42 pm America/New_York

Hello!

I am currently unable to access any of the gsfc websites to access data ordered this morning through the Ocean Color browser (which I can also no longer access as of around noon EST).

When I go to any of the following:
https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/odps
https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov
https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/
https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/
https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/

I get a "This site can’t be reached. seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov took too long to respond." error.
I have tried on multiple browsers (Safari, Chrome) to the same effect. I have cleared my cache and checked my security settings -- all to no avail. I can access the websites on my phone, so I know they aren't down altogether. Is this a known error? Or is this just a problem on my end?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Also, I see that there are regularly IP issues, but I cannot see the post that people link to with more information and instructions, presumably because it is also a gsfc website. (https://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/forum/oceancolor/topic_show.pl?tid=6447)

The sites are up and functional. If you are still unable to access them you can send an email to connection_problems@oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov with information describing your issue, your IP address and the time you attempted the connection.
