NASA Irradiance Data

by ASDC-EDL - mcook » Thu Dec 12, 2024 12:45 pm America/New_York

We have an API to use your All Sky Insolation Data (Solar Irradiance Data). We have noticed that it hasn't been updated since the 19th of November. Is there an issue with the server or latency? If so is there an anticipated timeline to resolve the issue?

Currently the low latency solar data products are delayed in the POWER data system due to a delay in the processing of the source data from FLASHFlux. We do not have a timeline for resolution of the problem, but as soon as the source data is available, we will process it for release in POWER.

This is a helpful question. Accessing and interpreting irradiance datasets can be challenging, especially when comparing different sources or services. In my experience, understanding the specific temporal resolution and processing level is important to ensure the data are used correctly.

Clarification from the DAAC team on recommended products or access methods would definitely be valuable for users working with these datasets.
