MERRA-2 FAQ: Why do I see a different file name numbering for some MERRA-2 and MERRA data granules?

MERRA-2 and MERRA data granules will show an increment in the stream number if the data granule has been reprocessed. Reprocessing dates and reasons why are document in the links below:
