question about deep biomass data

Hi everyone!

I need biomass data from the 80s to the current one. In particular, I am interested in: dead wood, dead foliage, dead wood fuel moisture content, etc. Here:

https://xds-preprod.ecmwf.int/datasets/derived-fire-fuel-biomass?tab=overview

I find what I need, but it is not the whole story.

I just wanted to collect as much data as possible for forecasting. But, I find disparate data (for certain date intervals) and in different sources. I would like it to be one source, since it is unclear how to synchronize different sources. The maximum that I have found this since 2000. As far as I understand, these are images. Maybe there were no such pictures with such a resolution before and deep data is not possible at all?

Hello @kamil7 We are not aware of a single source that will meet your needs. We will leave this open to the science community in case any data users know of a source.

You may also be interested in visiting these resources to learn more in general, but I don't believe they will be able to meet all of your needs:

1. https://earthdata.nasa.gov/maap-biomass/
2. https://www.usgs.gov/fire-danger-forecast
3. https://landfire.gov/ (I did speak with the LANDFIRE team, and their earliest data is from 2001.)

Thanks,
Danielle
