LP DAAC Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are Migrating to the Earthdata Forum

The LP DAAC will be migrating to the new Earthdata website in June 2025. As part of that process, the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section currently found on the existing LP DAAC website will be relocating to the Earthdata forum.

The LP DAAC FAQs are found under the Resources tab on the current LP DAAC website. With the migration to the new Earthdata website, the FAQs will move to the Earthdata Forum instead. The Earthdata Forum is a platform operated by NASA for Earth science data users and experts to interact and discuss topics related to data discovery, analysis, and applications. The forum is used by many users to ask data and access questions directly to our User Services team or to have a data discussion with the science community in general. On the Earthdata Forum the LP DAAC FAQs can be found using the term “LP DAAC” under the DAAC filter and the term “FAQ” under the Services/Usage filter. Alternatively, users can access all FAQs from all of the DAACs by using the FAQ option under the “Help” section of the forum.

The FAQs contain information related to the missions, projects, data access, and data citation questions. We encourage users to navigate to the Earthdata Forum and familiarize themselves with the FAQ section.
