Does anyone know if there are problems with the GOCI L1b files on earthdata?

They seem to be hdfeos-5, but they don't seem to be able to be read by any hdf5 or netcdf4 libraries.

h5ls -r /explore/nobackup/projects/omi/GOCI/L1/2019/04/01/COMS_GOCI_L1B_GA_20190401071643.he5
/explore/nobackup/projects/omi/GOCI/L1/2019/04/01/COMS_GOCI_L1B_GA_20190401071643.he5: unable to open file

I did find this note...

https://seadas.gsfc.nasa.gov/help-8.3.0/tools/importGociL1BProduct.html

but I'm not sure how old it is. Does anyone have any additional information?

I've discovered the the GOCI L1b files on earthdata are gunzipped, but for whatever reason do not have the .gz file extension. They only have a .he5 file extension. Is there a way to fix this?

Hello,

Thank you for alerting us to the issue. We've updated the metadata to show the files are zipped and are working to restore corrupted granules and ensure the complete set of available granules are added to the collection.
