Request to Minimize Authorization Lag for Direct Downloads Post-Order Availability

Dear Earthdata/DAAC Support Team,

When a data order is marked as "Available," we frequently observe a necessary waiting period of approximately 4 to 8 hours before we can successfully download the files using automated, authenticated scripts.

Immediate download attempts consistently result in the "License Gate Detected" redirect, forcing re-authentication, which stops automated workflows. Waiting for several hours is the only reliable workaround.

This required waiting period creates a bottleneck in time-sensitive data processing.

Could the development team investigate the synchronization latency between the order fulfillment system and the data access authorization layer, and propose technical solutions to ensure direct, authenticated download access is instantaneous once the order status changes to "Available"?

Thank you for exploring ways to eliminate this delay.

Hi @starbright to ensure we direct your feedback to the correct team could you please let us know which tool you are using and which specific datasets you are accessing?

Which VIIRS datasets? (I.e. VNP09GA, VNP01_NRT, VNP02IMG)
