ORNL DAAC recently released a new dataset by Jensen, D.J. et al (2025):

Delta-X: AVIRIS-NG L3 Derived Herbaceous Aboveground Biomass, MRD, Louisiana, USA, V3

This dataset includes high-resolution (~5 m) gridded estimates of aboveground biomass (AGB), aboveground necromass (AGN), and aboveground net primary productivity (ANPP) for herbaceous vegetation in the Atchafalaya and Terrebonne basins of the Mississippi River Delta in coastal Louisiana, USA, for the fall and spring seasons of 2021.

The delta-x dataset series keeps getting better — this new version with high-resolution biomass and productivity estimates will be super valuable for coastal ecosystem and carbon cycle modeling. great to see continued improvements from the ORNL DAAC team.

Great to see the Delta-X AVIRIS-NG biomass dataset (V3) now available — the higher-resolution (~5 m) estimates for AGB, AGN, and ANPP across the Atchafalaya and Terrebonne basins should be really valuable for coastal ecosystem modeling and productivity studies. Nice work by Jensen et al. and the ORNL DAAC team on this release.
