We recently had a question from a user on how to download MOD13A3 - MODIS/Terra Vegetation Indices Monthly L3 Global 1km SIN Grid data. I'll add our response in a comment below.

There are a few ways to access this dataset. What we recommend, and we recommend this for learning which tools to use to download any of the datasets we distribute, is visiting the dataset landing page of the dataset of interest. In the case of the MOD13A3 data, I would recommend visiting: https://doi.org/10.5067/MODIS/MOD13A3.061. From there click on the blue "Data Access" button on the right side of your screen to see which tools you can use to access this data. If available, based on the tools settings, some of the download links will even take you straight to the data within the tool.

In the case of MOD13A3 data, you can download this data from AppEEARS or Earthdata Search.
