Unable to download data through R

Hi everyone,
today I tried to download MODIS products (MOD16A2, V061) through the R package "MODIStp", but I am getting an error message "Accessing http server at: https://e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov/MOLT/MOD16A2.061/....http server seems to be down".
I was wondering whether there is a problem with the server (and if so, when it is expected to be fixed) or not.

Thanks in advance for your assistance
Christina

Hello,
The LPDAAC Data Pool (e4ftl01.cr.usgs.gov) was retired a couple of months ago. So that endpoint is no longer valid. It is all available now in the LPDAAC cloud. so the endpoint will need to reflect that. Please let us know if you have any question.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
Could you point me to URL of the API server for the request or the Amazon cloud endpoint for the product MOD16ARGF?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi Christina,
Following is an example of a MOD16A2GF granule: https://data.lpdaac.earthdatacloud.nasa.gov/lp-prod-protected/MOD16A2GF.061/MOD16A2GF.A2024361.h01v10.061.2025019222926
I think you could just change the lead-in to the granule ID from e4fl01 to the cloud and it should work.
Please see the product page for more specifics, including Data Access which will show you several options, including AppEEARS which has an API: https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/catalog/lpcloud-mod16a2gf-061
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Brett
