Earth Data Search Downloan

by manuelakatharina » Tue Dec 02, 2025 5:18 am America/New_York

Hi, I am trying to dowloand granules for the GLDAS NOAH (GLDAS_NOAH025_3H_2.1) data set via Earthdata Search. I have successfully dowloaned several granules before. Yet, since yesterday, I am receiving the following error code:

Unexpected Application Error!
Cannot destructure property 'items' of 'e' as it is null.
TypeError: Cannot destructure property 'items' of 'e' as it is null.
at ts (https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/assets/SidebarContainer-AdbYXjYV.js:1:6723)

I can dowload data sets from related data sets (e.g., the 1x1 degree data), but this specific data set does not work for me. Does anyone have an idea how to resolve this? Thanks!

Hello Manuela,

We had a problem with the Common Metadata Repository (CMR), our metadata cataloging system, this past weekend that disrupted Earthdata Search's ability to find granules. The bug has been resolved as of this afternoon, so you should be able to download granules again. Let us know if you still experience issues.

You can check https://status.earthdata.nasa.gov/ to see if there are any current issues with Earthdata Search. (There should also be an "alert" notification in the top right corner of the Earthdata Search webpage.)
