Dear Earthdata Team,

I am working with the GLDAS Noah Land Surface Model L4 3 hourly 0.25 x 0.25 degree V2.1 (GLDAS_NOAH025_3H) model and try to download them via Earthdata Search. Since a couple of days, there seems to be a constant reduction in the number of available granules. While there should be 2920 granules per year, there are now only between 1400 and 1600 granules per year available (different amounts per year). Is there a current update on the data and will this be back to the full set of granules soon?

We had a problem with the Common Metadata Repository (CMR), our metadata cataloging system, this past weekend that disrupted the ability of Earthdata Search to find granules. The bug has been resolved as of this afternoon, so you should see 2920 granules per (non-leap) year again. Let us know if you still experience issues.

You can check https://status.earthdata.nasa.gov/ to see if there are any current issues with Earthdata Search. (There should also be an "alert" notification in the top right corner of the Earthdata Search webpage.)

thanks so much for the reply. I figured out a bit later that there was an issue with the CMR. Thanks so much for fixing the bug. The number of granules was indeed back to 2920 yesteday night (CET), but now it stands again at around 2600 (e.g., 2647 for the year 2011).
Are there any new issues?

Yesterday morning, there was another outage, but we are back up and running now.
