MODIST Status

We have not been able to download MODIST L1A data from both OB DAAC and LANCE for a while (I think it stopped during the government shutdown but may have restarted and stopped again since then).

I know Terra end of mission / instrument turn off was anticipated to be "December 2025". Has that happened or is the current outage due to a transient problem?

Thank you!

Andrew,
I can't speak to issues with LANCE, but there shouldn't be an issue accessing MODIS Terra L1A data from the OB.DAAC.
Can you provide the endpoint you're having issue with?

BTW, plans are in flux about the decommissioning of the Terra, Aqua and Aura missions. So far, data are still being collected and being made available...

Sean,

Thank you for your reply.

We're downloading using non-extracted subscription #2551. It may have expired. When I try to access the active subscription list to find out I get a page that says

.:. ERROR .:.
Ocean Biology Distributed Active Archive Center (OB.DAAC)

This happens regardless of whether or not I am logged into my earth data account. Since that is preventing me from looking at / renewing our subscriptions could you folks look into it please? Thank you!

Hi Andrew,

We were able to resolve the issue with the subscription not displaying on the webpage. Can you try again and see if you are able to view the subscription? Let me know if are still having issues and we can take a closer look.
