The PO.DAAC High-level Tool for Interactive Data Extraction (HiTIDE) tool will be retired in February 2026.

We encourage all users to transition to the Earthdata Search – HiTIDE Portal, which now provides most of the functionality that users are familiar with in HiTIDE. The Earthdata Search - HiTIDE Portal limits its collection set to the same collections found in HiTIDE.
Any features currently in HiTIDE that are not supported in Earthdata Search will be identified and may be added in the future.

If there are features you rely on in HiTIDE that you do not see in Earthdata Search - HiTIDE Portal, please let us know and we will do our best to get them added!

We encourage you to take some time to familiarize yourself with the new interface, and appreciate your support during this transition.

Thank you,
PO.DAAC Team

Important Update:

HiTIDE has been officially shutdown and retired on March 26th, 2026.

The closest alternative application that we have is via Earthdata Search Client using this URL:
https://search.earthdata.nasa.gov/search?portal=hitide

Please use this URL to have Earthdata Search Client display only the HiTIDE collections.

It's sad that HiTIDE is now gone, but Earthdata Search Client will hopefully work well enough for your needs.

Thank you,
Jim Wood
