Keyword Request for Meteosat-12 and FCI

Hi,

I'd like to request new GCMD keywords for the Meteosat-12 satellite and its FCI instrument.

Platforms > Space-based Platforms > Earth Observation Satellites > Meteosat > METEOSAT-12

Instruments > Earth Remote Sensing Instruments > Passive Remote Sensing > Spectrometers/Radiometers > Imaging Spectrometers/Radiometers > FCI > Flexible Combined Imager

There's already a group for Meteosat Third Generation (MTG). But since Meteosat First (1-7) and Second (8-11) Generation Platforms are in the "Meteosat" group already, I'd propose to add Meteosat-12 to the same group.

Meteosat-12 is the first flight unit of Meteosat Third Generation (MTG).

The Flexible Combined Imager (FCI) provides observations of Europe and Africa for forecasting
severe weather, and for near-real-time monitoring of our changing atmosphere, land surfaces
and oceans.
FCI allows for scanning the full Earth disc every 10 minutes and the upper quarter of the disc,
that is, Europe, every 2½ minutes. The FCI measures in 16 channels in the visible and infrared
spectrum.
