There are several factors that can impact TEMPO data availability—and thus temporal coverage. The TEMPO special operations for research requests such as wildfires can change the scanning pattern. The satellite also has regularly scheduled maintenance activities that can result in data gaps; these generally occur on either Mondays or Tuesdays and on Saturdays and result in a data gap of a couple of hours in the afternoon. Unplanned outages can also affect data availability. The
TEMPO operations log, maintained by the TEMPO Science Team at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO), is a great resource to find information about these events.
