NSIDC Request for New GCMD Keywords

NSIDC would like to request the following be added as GCMD keywords:

Short name: 6.7um Radiometer
Long name: Nimbus 4 Temperature-Humidity Infrared Radiometer - 6.7um
Definition: The temperature-humidity infrared radiometer (THIR) was designed to detect thermal radiation in two bands. The 6.7um channel detects moisture content of the upper troposphere and stratosphere and the location of jet streams and frontal systems.
