TEMPO V04 reprocessing complete for all data except Ozone Profile

The Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) Science Team has completed reprocessing the data with Version 04 (V04) algorithms, with the exception of the TEMPO Ozone Profile (O3PROF) data. V04 data are now available from August 2, 2023 to present via NASA Earthdata Search. The V03 data will remain available through Earthdata Search until the TEMPO Science Team completes all reprocessing.
Note: TEMPO Ozone Profile (O3PROF) data from September 9, 2023 to August 27, 2025 are still being processed, with V04 data becoming publicly available as they are processed. O3PROF data may be processed non-sequentially, and several months of reprocessed data are already publicly available. This effort is expected to complete sometime in 2027.
Also note that V04 August 2, 2023 data have recently been reprocessed and replaced; the Level 2 and Level 3 retrievals now use updated GEOS Composition Forecasting (GEOS-CF) a priori inputs. The file names remain the same, but new files can be identified by metadata production dates of September 2026.
The V04 imagery for the TEMPO data are also available on Worldview. The reprocessed V04 data will be added to the TEMPO ArcGIS image services in the next few weeks.
