EMIT Version 2 Level 1B and Level 2A, and Version 3 Level 2A Data Products Released

The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) has released four datasets from NASA’s Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation (EMIT) suite of data products. This release includes three Version 2 products (EMIT L1B Corrected Attitude and Ephemeris, EMIT L1B At-Sensor Calibrated Radiance and Geolocation Data, EMIT L2A Surface Reflectance and Uncertainty), as well as one Version 3 product (EMIT L2A Masks). The Version 3 mask product is meant to be used alongside Version 2 products in this release.

These data products provide spacecraft attitude and ephemeris data, at-sensor calibrated radiance, surface reflectance and uncertainty, and mask data that are used to produce all higher level EMIT data products.

The EMIT Version 2 reprocessing campaign for the historical archive is expected to take approximately three months to complete. During this time, data new acquisitions and reprocessed historical data will be delivered. An update will be posted once historical reprocessing for EMIT Version 2 is complete.
