Data Distribution Update

The OBPG has recently put on line a new data distribution server:

http://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov

We have migrated all of our web server data distribution links to this new server.  For example, a file previously accessible via:

[link=]//oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile/A2009271212500.L1A_LAC.bz2

is now accessible via:

[link=]//oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile/A2009271212500.L1A_LAC.bz2

We will be removing access via the [link=]//oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi/getfile route on October 7th, 2009.

If you have automated scripts for downloading data from us, you will want to modify your scripts to point to http://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov.

If you only download data from links posted on our website, you need to nothing - this transition has already been made. We've done our best to ensure that all links now point to http://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov, however, if you should find a link on one of our web pages that still references http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov (/cgi/getfile), please let us know by sending an email to webadmin@oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov
