Data outage

by OB.DAAC - SeanBailey » Tue Feb 02, 2016 2:43 pm America/New_York

On Monday, 01 February 2016, one of our many backend storage servers suffered a catastrophic hardware failure.
Due to the nature of the failure, recovery of the data may take several days.  While MOST of our data are still
accessible, users may find that requests for data will randomly fail.  Please be assured that we will make every
effort to make this data outage as short as possible.  We will post an announcement when all of the data have
been recovered and are once again accessible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause.

Regards,
Sean

As of 09 February 2016, all files affected by the storage server failure have been recovered, verified and full access has been restored.
