Webinar Announcement - Introduction to Remote Sensing for Coastal and Ocean Applications

NASA's Applied Remote Sensing Training (ARSET) group offers online webinars throughout the year. Each training lasts four to five weeks, one hour per week, and are often offered twice a day to accommodate attendees in different time zones. Webinars are appropriate for professionals engaged in applied environmental management.

An upcoming event will highlight the use of remote sensing for coastal and ocean applications:

Course Overview:
In this introductory webinar, participants will be with an overview of remote sensing for coastal and ocean applications.
This will include a background in aquatic remote sensing, access and tools for processing and analyzing imagery, and examples live demonstrations of applied sciences tools that have been developed              for NASA and partner organizations.
This course will review data products MODIS, VIIRS, HICO, and other sensors commonly used for ocean applications.                                                                                                         

Intended Audience:
Local, regional, state, federal, and international  interested in using satellite imagery for coastal and ocean applications.
Governmental and non-governmental organizations in the public private sector engaged in environmental management and monitoring                        

Course Dates:
Four 1 hour sessions, each Wednesday from July 6 to July 27.
